The bad: The main reason you go there. The food and service. After waiting 40 minutes to be seated (no issues with that), we ordered the sampler. Wing sauce had a good taste, only problem is the wings were burnt. The fried mushrooms were very bland and had a weird taste like the oil hadn't been changed in a while. Sampler not good at all.
But not with my money or with friends or relatives of mine.
Phil's in Wading River is awesome but Phil's on the water blows it away especially the Man In Charge Pete nicest person you ever want to meet
WARNING: there are only enough spots for the approximate amount of customers. If there are no spots dont come here. A 200 dollar meal turned into a 300 dollar meal. Avoid this place at busy times. On a side note the food was awesome. To bad there was no parking and resulted in a ridiculous fine....
The good: Place is beautiful with awesome views.
First time at this restaurant and probably will be the last. Nice location, very clean, good food but the service was awful. We waited and hour and 15 minutes for a wrap and hamburger. Spoke to the manager and she wasn't very nice and asked me what do I want her to do. I said I feel we should be compensated for the long wait. She did take the wrap off the bill but such a shame they can't find enough help and we're not very concerned about taking care of their customers.
For dinner we all ordered burgers. While waiting for the food, seated outside, a rude female patron was smoking on the side. Only a few feet from our table. Workers walked by her like it was normal. They only said something to her after I brought it to their attention. At this point, after being here almost 2 hours since arriving, we were praying the dinner was good. After waiting almost an hour for 4 burgers, 3 out of the 4 were well done. We ordered them medium. Condiments were missing on the plates. Total dinner order was wrong. I guess the may have thought since it was dark out and we were sitting outside we would not have noticed. And we were well past the rush. No manager came over to apologize or attempt to make it right. Our waitress did that for her. Our order was Placed around 8 on a Sunday night.
Don't even waste your time and money at this restaurant. Waited 1 1/2 he for a table when we were told 20min to bee seated and had 4 children under 7. Only reason we even got seated was because a lovely waitress took charge. Then another 1 1/2 hrs to get food. The crappy manager didn't even have the decency to come over we had to demand 20% off the bill. Just terrible!
Needless to say, this is the second bad experience we had here. We will not be returning. What a shame. Whole Staff from manager to kitchen to waitsatff need to be replaced. This place most likely will survive
